Shipping

Space Gas products ship exclusively via palletized LTL freight. We do not ship to residential addresses or P.O. boxes. A commercial receiving address with a loading dock or liftgate service is required.

  • Carriers: XPO, Estes, Old Dominion, and regional LTL carriers selected per lane. Specific carrier quoted per shipment.
  • Hazmat classification: Food-grade N₂O is classified as a non-flammable compressed gas (UN1070). Freight quotes reflect hazmat handling surcharges where applicable.
  • Minimum order: One full pallet (3 layers). Orders in multiple pallets ship palletized with matching bills of lading.
  • Transit time: Quoted per shipment. LTL transit typically 3–7 business days within the continental US.
  • Receiving: Commercial address with dock or liftgate. Residential delivery is not available. Damaged-in-transit claims must be noted on delivery and reported within 48 hours.

Compliance — State Restrictions

Nitrous oxide sale and distribution is regulated at the state and local level. Restrictions change frequently; the list below is current as of our last review but is not exhaustive. Buyer is responsible for confirming the legality of sale, resale, and use of N₂O products in their jurisdiction.

States with significant restrictions

  • Louisiana — retail sale banned; wholesale/licensed use permitted with restrictions.
  • California — tobacco/vape retailers prohibited from selling; local ordinances in effect in many cities.
  • Washington — unauthorized sale of N₂O prohibited; carveouts for food-propellant use.
  • Alabama — recreational N₂O banned.
  • Michigan — distribution restricted; carveouts for catering/foodservice suppliers.
  • New York, Oregon, Ohio — age restrictions on retail sales.

Space Gas may decline any order we believe would violate applicable law. Accounts in restricted states are flagged at signup for manual review — we don't auto-block, but we verify your business licensing and resale authority before approval.

Certifications

  • All Space Gas tanks contain 99.9% pure food-grade N₂O.
  • Manufactured in certified facilities meeting food-grade gas standards.
  • Individually weighed during fill; tare and fill weights tracked per lot.
  • Batch and lot IDs printed on every tank for traceability.

Intended-Use Policy

Space Gas flavored N₂O is designed exclusively for culinary applications — whipped creams, foams, espumas, mousses, sauces, and flavor infusions. These products are not intended for recreational use or inhalation. Buyer agrees not to market, package, or resell Space Gas products in ways that encourage or facilitate inhalation or recreational use. Buyer agrees not to resell to any party buyer has reason to believe will misuse the product or sell into prohibited channels.

Space Gas reserves the right to refuse service and terminate accounts that violate these policies.
