Space Gas USA ("we", "us") respects the privacy of the businesses and individuals who interact with our site and services. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
What we collect
- Business application data — name, contact info, business type, state of operation, tax ID, resale certificate, estimated monthly volume, shipping address.
- Account data — email address, hashed password, order history, saved shipping addresses.
- Order data — products ordered, quantities, shipping address, order notes.
- Technical data — IP address, browser information, session cookies.
How we use it
- To verify the legitimacy of wholesale accounts.
- To process orders and coordinate freight.
- To send transactional and account-related email.
- To meet regulatory reporting obligations that may apply to this product category.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
How we protect it
- Passwords are stored hashed using bcrypt / argon2. We cannot read or recover your password.
- Transport-layer encryption (HTTPS) on every page.
- Session cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite-restricted.
- Admin actions are logged in an internal audit log.
- Resale certificates and other uploaded documents are stored in restricted-access object storage, not the public web root.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data necessary with:
- Freight carriers — shipping address and order data for delivery.
- Payment processors — if you pay via card, billing details are handled by the processor; we do not store full card data.
- Email / SMS providers — to deliver account and transactional messages.
- Law enforcement — when required by valid legal process.
We do not sell your data to advertisers.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your order-form state. We use localStorage to remember whether you've acknowledged the site-entry modal.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the data we hold on your account, or ask us to delete it, by emailing wholesale@spacegasusa.com. Deleting your account will close any open orders and remove future access to the portal.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll post notice on this page and notify account holders by email.
